busy, busy, busy...

I am happiest when I am doing too damn much! That is a truism for me. I just began the new term working toward my credential. That is fun, and I have a good term this semester. I'm in the third week and am starting to feel exhilarated by the work. My music project has had a setback, but it has created a space to do other work on music. The engineer that is recording my stuff has had a personal tragedy and my sessions have been postponed until at least April. What I am doing in the meantime is market research. In the past I've been very cavalier about this - I'll scramble for gigs, but not worry too much... - this time I'm all about traction and selling product. My personal goal is 10,000 copies this year. That would allow me to live on my music and to continue producing. Touring... It has been almost thirty years since I've been on the road. That is something that I really have mixed memories about. First there is the reality of life on the road (no comfortable beds, no set schedule, very iffy) and then there are the benefits (more women that I can talk about... that was when I was younger, though). Everything they say is true... a bass guitar is an incredible aphrodisiac.

I have to do work on my music webpage and make it look more professional. I also have to do the legal stuff for my lable. I do admit that I am loving it.

Too much to do is a good thing...

But I am only a fool
